Witchy Pumpkin 🧙‍♀️

We are creating a fun Halloween 8x10 art piece complete with lots of black glass goodies and other extras. I have a sunflower, pinecone, and acorn that I cut off of a floral stem, and I have a rustic metal star that I cut off from a garland. I am going to show you how to paint this from start to finish and add all of the fun elements and resin. This is a simple, easy, and fun fall art project!

Grab your tracer, tape it to your canvas, place graphite paper underneath, and trace your witchy pumpkin onto your canvas with a stylus. Start by adding white paint all around the background of your canvas and then add in some Antique Gold. I like how this is darker around our witchy pumpkin and then gets lighter as it goes out.

On the bottom of my canvas, I am going to add black paint and then add some white streaks in it.

Next, we are going to paint the witch hat with black paint and the hat band and underside of the hat with purple. Dry with a heat tool.

Add a base coat of Spiced Pumpkin to your pumpkin. I'm also going to do my shadowing with Georgia Clay and highlighting with white paint.

I'm going to add some highlighting to my witch hat with white paint too. I'll also add another coat of purple to the band and add some white there too.

Grab your tracer again, tape it to your canvas, place graphite paper underneath, and trace the eyes and mouth onto your pumpkin.

I'm going to paint the eyes with black and Antique Gold. Dry with a heat tool.

Next, grab your graphic pen and add some detail lines! I'm going to add short strokes around my witch hat, pumpkin, each pumpkin section, and the eyes. I'm going to use a black Posca Pen to add the mouth. 

I'm going to draw on the spider's web coming down and use some black paint for the spider. 

Now let's add all of the glass goodies! I am using Black Reflective glass on the top of the witch's hat. I'm going to add my start coming off of the tip of my witch's hat too. 

We're going to elevate our canvas using blocks. Mix 1/2 ounce of resin and stir gently for three minutes. Pour the resin onto your glass and spread it onto your canvas using your gloved fingers or brush.

Use a heat gun to pop your bubbles. Keep your heat moving at all times!

Then, I'm going to add Black Opaque and Crystal Luster seed beads to the hat brim. I'll also place my sunflower, acron, and pinecone on the hat band.
