Chandelier Angel Ornament 😇

angel christmas Dec 27, 2023

I grabbed some wood ornament blanks from Hobby Lobby and knew that I wanted to create some kind of glass and resin Christmas ornaments. While looking through my stash, I found a bin of chandelier glass that had tons of pieces to make pretty little angels. These were gifted to me, but I'm sure you could find similar stuff at any craft store, Etsy, or Ebay. I'm going to show you how to create these angel ornaments from chandelier glass!

I'm going to spray-paint my chandelier pieces so that they show up better against my wooden ornament. I am using Krylon Gold Leaf and Krylon Looking Glass Silver, but you can use whatever you have. Spray both the front and the back - no need to seal them! Let them dry for an hour or two.

Next, I'm going to take a metallic silver pen and a metallic gold pen to add a halo and accentuate the ornament topper.

Take your glass off of your ornament so that you can get resin underneath those pieces.

Mix 1/4 ounce of resin and stir gently for three minutes. Pour the resin onto your ornament and spread it using your gloved fingers or brush. Place your glass chandelier piece back onto your ornaments and drizzle more resin on top.

Use a heat gun to pop your bubbles. Keep your heat moving at all times! Sprinkle some Crystal Luster seed beads on top of your halos to accentuate them.
