Red Heart ❤️

We are using a 10x10 canvas to create a red Valentine's Day heart! I found red and pearl glass filler at Michael's that I will add to my heart along with some gold accents. This is very simple - you only need to be able to paint a heart and then add your glass goodies and resin! This is perfect for Valentine's Day decor or gifting to someone you love. 

I'm going to start by painting the background with pearl metallic paint. I'm going to get the paint on my canvas and then pull the paint all in one direction so that my metallic lays nicely. Dry with a heat tool.

Grab your tracer, tape it to your canvas, place graphite paper underneath, and trace your heart onto your canvas with a stylus.

I'm going to use Primary Red and Dragon Fruit along with a little bit of white paint right along my tracer line to outline my heart. Dry with a heat tool.

Take a Gold Posca or DecoColor gold metallic marker and scribble around your heart with short strokes. I'm also going to write the word "love" along my heart as well. 

Let's add our glass! I'm going to apply the red glass filler around the inner edge of my heart and then the pearl glass on the inside of that. I'm going to leave the center of my heart blank.

We're going to elevate our canvas using blocks. Mix 1 ounce of resin and stir gently for three minutes. Pour the resin onto your glass and spread it onto your canvas using your gloved fingers or brush.

Use a heat gun to pop your bubbles. Keep your heat moving at all times!
