Rose Trio 🌹
We are working with three tiny 4x4 canvases to make a trio of roses! I will show you how to paint these from start to finish, as well as add glass pieces for our rose petals. These would make great gifts or decor in your home for the spring and summer seasons. They are also super easy to create and are great for beginners just getting started.
First, paint the sides and front of each canvas with black acrylic paint. Let dry or dry with a heat tool.
Now, we will start painting our flowers! I am using dark pink, light pink, coral, and white paint. I am doing two pink roses and one coral rose. Start with the hot pink and make a circle - I like to make parenthesis with my brush to create that rose petal shape. Dry with a heat tool.
Do another coat of paint and then add in some light pink and some white paint, using the same parenthesis technique.
Next, paint the leaves for each flower. I am using light green, dark green, and white paint to give the leaves some highlights and shadows. I'll also add some more color layers on my roses - just blending the different pinks and whites on top of each other. Dry with a heat tool.
Take your graphic pen and add some detail lines. I am outlining my leaves and adding some squiggly lines to my roses to create some texture and definition. I'll also add some gold lines with my DecoArt Premium Gold Metallic paint marker.
Now let's add glass! I had a small pink votive that I busted up with my nippers to create some glass flower petal shapes. I also have some clear pieces of glass from a votive as well. I'm going to overlap the glass to create a rose shape for each canvas. I also have green pieces of glass for each flower leaf.
It's time for resin! We're going to elevate our canvases using blocks. Mix 1.5 ounces of resin and stir gently for three minutes. Pour the resin onto your canvases and spread it using your gloved fingers or brush.
Use a heat gun to pop your bubbles. Keep your heat moving at all times!
I have some seafoam green seed beads and iridescent blue seed beads that I will add to each flower center too.
