I'm going to add some painter's tape across my canvas about 2/3 of the way from the bottom. Then, I'll paint the bottom portion of my canvas with Plantation Pine, Hauser Green Light, Antique Gold, and white. Dry with a heat tool.

I'm really excited about today's project because I've got Steve joining me to create this adorable mini rose canvas! I'll be walking you through the steps of making a simple glass art rose, and what makes it extra special is that you'll get to witness a true beginner, Steve, learning the ropes in real time. This one's perfect if you're just starting out or if it's your first venture into the world of glass and resin art. 

First, paint the sides and front of your canvas with black acrylic paint. Let dry or dry with a heat tool.

Now, we will start painting our flowers! I am using a #12 round brush and Dragonfruit, Poodleskirt Pink, and Strawberry. Start with the Strawberry (or your darkest color) and make a circle. Then, move on to your other pinks and make parenthesis with your brush to create that rose petal shape and layer each color. Next, I'll take Crocus Yellow and add some dots to the middle to create a flower center.

We are using a 6x6 canvas to create a gorgeous dusty rose poinsettia flower, which would look amazing in your home during the holiday or winter season! This one requires very minimal painting (just the background!) and has tons of glass goodies. I'll be showing you how to create a flower out of pieces of a candle votive and we'll also add lots of beads and resin. 

Use glass nippers or wheeled nippers to cut your flower petals from a candle votive. Take your nippers and cut horizontally around the edge with your votive, going around the entire votive until you get to the bottom. Your petals will not be perfect and that is okay! Once you have your petals, use a honing stone to sand down those sharp edges and points. 

Paint your background with a coat of Metallic White. Then, I'll add some dots of Metallic Stone paint and pounce my paintbrush to give the background texture. I'll also use the plastic wrap that was on my canvas and just dab that on it too. Dry with a heat...

We are working on a 4x12 canvas and creating a super cute sunflower gnome! I will show you how I paint this gnome from start to finish, and then we'll be adding some yellow glass sunflower petals as well as some amber-colored glass to our flower center. This is a great fall art piece to create this season!

Grab your tracer, tape it to your canvas, place graphite paper underneath, and trace your gnome onto your canvas with a stylus. 

First, I am going to start by painting his hat with Hauser Green. Then, I'll use a lighter green on the bottom part of his hat. Add a second coat to both colors.

Then, paint his shoes with black paint and his beard with white paint. Then, I'm going to mix together some black paint and white paint to create a gray color, and apply that to the gnome's beard as well.

This 8x10 art piece is super easy to create because we are using a stencil! I this hydrangea stencil and knew it would be amazing with some rose gold reflective glass. I'm showing you how to paint and stencil this art project and add all of the glass goodies! This is a great spring or summer art piece and is perfect for beginners too.

I am creating a beautiful flower bouquet on a black background canvas. I am using a distressed piece of wood as my surface today to create a beautiful field of tulips. We'll be painting on our wood and then adding some clear glass vase pieces for our petals along with some seed beads and resin. This is the perfect spring project and would look so pretty in your home!

Start by painting your wood piece with some white paint to give it a distressed look. Then, I'm using Hauser Green Light and Avocado Green to paint my board with a chip brush. I'm mostly concentrating on the bottom of my piece. I'll take a smaller brush and some Crocus Yellow and Straw Yellow and just dab that paint into my field of green to create "flowers" in the background. Let dry or dry with a heat gun.

I am using a 5x7 canvas to create a pretty collection of three flowers. These are going to be very abstract roses - and it's the perfect art project to welcome the spring season! We'll be using several acrylic paint colors and then finishing off our piece with some seed beads and resin.

I'm going to start by sketching my roses onto my canvas with a watercolor pencil. If you have a tracer, you can tape it to your canvas, place graphite paper underneath, and trace it with a stylus.

We're finishing out our sunflower series today with a Hope Sunflower! This one will be facing forward and has the word "hope" in it. Again, I'm using seed beads for the center of the sunflower along with some clear glass along the bottom of my canvas.

Next, I am painting my background with turquoise and white paint, just going around my traced sunflower. I'm also painting my edges too. Let dry.
